Located in the Yimeng Mountains, Linqu County serves as a crucial breeding base for Landes geese in China. Currently, the county produces 5 million Landes geese annually, with foie gras output exceeding 5,000 tons, accounting for 70% of the domestic market and 20% of the global market. The annual output value surpasses 8 billion yuan.
With the goose industry as the core, seamless integration has been achieved across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors. To bolster the foie gras industry, Linqu County established the Goose Industry Association, forming a development model of "association + enterprises + cooperatives + bases + farmers." This framework provides unified services spanning breeding and stock supply, technical training, epidemic prevention, slaughtering and processing, and repurchase and sales. It enhances farmer employment and income and ensures source-to-end product quality control and full-process traceability.
Today, Linqu foie gras enterprises have strengthened their domestic sales networks and established stable distribution channels in Japan, Europe, and other regions. They have progressively introduced more independently developed products, bringing foie gras to an increasing number of household dining tables.
