Shandong to Establish Four Centers for Robotics Development

Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province, along with 24 other departments and units, jointly released the Three-year Action Plan for High-quality Development of the Robotics Industries in Shandong Province (2025-2027). According to the action plan, Shandong will develop innovation platforms for industrial, service, specialized, and humanoid robots and a series of typical application scenarios in equipment manufacturing, smart home appliances, intelligent agriculture, healthcare and elderly care, safety and emergency response, law enforcement operations, smart mining, cultural tourism, and education and teaching.

By 2027, the scale of robotics manufacturing will exceed 50 billion yuan and at least three leading robotics manufacturers with an output value of over 2 billion yuan will be cultivated in the province. The ultimate goal is to develop the province into a growth pole for robotics research and manufacturing and a new hub for robotics applications in China.
