Recently, under the supervision of the Dezhou Branch of Customs, a TIR vehicle loaded with daily necessities departed from the Dezhou International Land Port Customs Supervision Operation Site and headed for Moscow, Russia. This transport marks the official launch of TIR transport in Dezhou.
The TIR system, or the Transport International Router system, is the only global customs clearance system for cargo transportation based on the United Nations TIR Convention. Vehicles carrying a TIR carnet enjoy a convenient and streamlined customs clearance process across contracting states with a single customs declaration and direct vehicle access. At border crossings, authorities only verify TIR carnet information and inspect the integrity of customs seals, eliminating the need for physical cargo checks.
Moving forward, Dezhou Branch of Customs will promote the integration of TIR with existing logistics networks to optimize resource allocation, further supporting local foreign trade enterprises in expanding their global market presence.
