Rizhao Ranks 2nd in Provincial Industrial Investment Growth in the First Four Months

The Information Office of Rizhao, a city in Shandong Province, recently held a press conference, announcing that the city's key industrial indicators ranked among the top in the province from January to April this year. Notably, industrial investment surged by 38.4% year-on-year—19.5 percentage points higher than the province's—securing the second-highest growth rate in Shandong.

Rizhao has leveraged its three major industrial hubs, including the SD Steel and Baowu Rizhao Base, to establish key platforms such as the Metal Surface Treatment Center. The Lanshan District Advanced Steel and Supporting Industrial Cluster has been recognized as a provincial-level specialized industrial cluster. In line with its "Ecology-oriented City" strategy, Rizhao has established two national-level green parks, 15 green factories, and 23 provincial-level green factories.

In terms of digital transformation, the city has launched five provincial-level "Industrial Brain" pilot projects. The Donggang District Industrial Internet Digital Cluster was among the first provincial digital industrial clusters, while 14 provincial-level specialized digital parks have been cultivated. Rizhao now ranks fifth in the province for digital industry concentration.
