At 8 AM on June 10, the No. 75052 China-Europe freight train departed from Jiaozhou Station in Qingdao. The departure marked a milestone of over 110,000 trips since the service's launch. With a cumulative value of goods transported exceeding 450 billion US dollars, these trains have maintained safe, stable, and efficient operations, demonstrating significant progress in high-quality development.
From January to May this year, the Jiaozhou Branch of Jinan Railway Logistics Center operated 201 China-Europe freight trains, reflecting a year-on-year increase of over 20%. Over the past seven years, the range of goods transported has evolved from primarily clothing and footwear to include high-value-added goods, such as home appliances and advanced manufacturing equipment, while operational speeds have increased from 90 km/h to 120 km/h.
As a flagship achievement of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the China-Europe freight trains have not only strengthened trade and economic ties between Asia and Europe but also vitalized the development of countries along the BRI routes through their efficient and reliable logistics services—spanning from Shandong to the vast plains of Europe.
