The Launch Ceremony for the 2025 Shandong International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Exchange Week Held in Jinan

On May 27, the launch ceremony for the 2025 Shandong International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Exchange Week was held in Jinan. Hosted by the Shandong Provincial People's Government under the theme of "Hand in Hand for Shared Future," the event established a platform for international friendship city exchange and cooperation, contributing to more mutually beneficial cooperation between cities worldwide and closer friendly exchanges among peoples.

In recent years, the breadth and depth of Shandong's friendship city exchange and cooperation have continuously expanded, with its international circle of friends steadily growing. During the ceremony, 19 pairs of friendship cities signed cooperation agreements, and the Jinan Initiative for International Friendship City Cooperation was officially released.

The 2025 Shandong International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Exchange Week is being held from May 26 to 30, featuring over 20 events including dialogues between friendly provincial and state governors, matchmaking meetings between businesses from friendship cities, and "Experience New Shandong" –– an economic and trade cooperation tour of Shandong for friendship cities. These activities aim to promote comprehensive and specific exchanges between Shandong and its friendship cities across all domains, striving to achieve greater cooperative outcomes and continuously expand positive spillover effects.
