Ju County, Shandong: Developing the Fresh-Cut Flower Industry to Illuminate the "Beautiful Economy"

In the fresh-cut flower packaging workshop of the Zhaoxian Qufang Modern Agricultural Industrial Park in Ju County, Rizhao City, workers are sorting and packaging roses for distribution across the country.

After years of development, Ju County in Rizhao City, Shandong Province, has continuously expanded and strengthened its fresh-cut flower industry, forming an industrial cluster led by Zhaoxian Town.

Zhaoxian Town in Ju County, Rizhao City, is now home to 29 specialized fresh-cut flower villages, 26 specialized fresh-cut flower cooperatives, and over 100 e-commerce businesses, employing more than 10,000 people. It supplies over 300 popular domestic and international rose varieties such as Plateau Red and Elsa, with an annual output of 600 million stems and annual sales reaching 500 million yuan. The industry has become a key driver of agricultural efficiency and farmers' income growth, as well as a distinctive local brand.
