Shandong is driving the development of new quality productive forces through technological innovation: 26 advanced manufacturing industry clusters at the provincial level and above are seizing strategic high grounds, while strategic emerging industries such as commercial aerospace, humanoid robots, and new energy batteries are gaining a competitive edge in new tracks, unleashing strong momentum for high-quality development.

Data show that in the first quarter, five industries in Shandong—electronics, chemical raw materials, automobiles, agricultural and sideline food, and metal products—achieved double-digit growth in added value. Industries such as chemical fiber, food manufacturing, and electrical machinery also maintained high growth rates. In terms of scale, high-end chemicals, smart home appliances, industrial mother machines, rail transit, marine engineering equipment, agricultural machinery equipment, and high-end aluminum materials ranked among the top in the country.

Shandong is promoting the full-chain development of next-generation information technology, high-end equipment, and new energy & materials. The province is improving the "1+N" roadmap for the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) industry chain, expanding the intelligent connected vehicle industry, and coordinating the establishment of a growth mechanism for future industry investment. A number of innovative "flagship products" and application "landmarks" have emerged, such as quantum technology in Jinan, deep-sea and aerospace technology in Qingdao, and commercial aerospace in Yantai.
