Shandong Introduces 8 New National Pilot Projects for the Application of Intelligent Manufacturing Standards

Following procedures including enterprise applications, local recommendations, expert evaluations, and public review, the Standardization Administration of the P.R.C. and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the second batch of 76 pilot projects for the application of intelligent manufacturing standards. Among these, eight projects from Shandong were selected, including the Pilot Project for the Application of Construction Standards for High-end Engine Intelligent Factories of Weichai Power Co., Ltd. and the Pilot Project for the Application of Standards for Silicon Carbide Semiconductor Material Intelligent Factories of SICC Co., Ltd.

This year, Shandong will further advance intelligent transformation, digital transformation, and networked connection to drive synergistic efficiency. The province plans to implement the "Industrial Brain + Morning Star Factory" model, with the goal of establishing 5,000 pilot "Morning Star Factories" and more than 100 benchmark enterprises. Additionally, Shandong aims to develop 50 provincial-level "Industrial Brain" platforms, approximately 50 digital economy headquarters bases, and work toward creating around 10 nationally leading and world-class intelligent manufacturing factories.
