Recently, a China Railway Express train operated under the coordination of Shandong Hi-Speed Group made a gradual entry into Vientiane South Railway Station in Laos. This "two-way journey" across mountains and seas has taken on new significance with the establishment of the China Railway Express Southeast Asia (Vientiane) Assembly Center.
Positioning the Southeast Asia Assembly Center at this location serves as a strategic move, embedding a vital piece in the overlapping domains of the "Belt and Road" Initiative and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). Once operational, it will extend its influence across the Indochina Peninsula and emerging economies in Southeast Asia, functioning as a core node in Shandong's development of a southbound international transportation corridor.
The creation of this assembly center opens up more opportunities and broader markets for Shandong's foreign trade enterprises. They can leverage the Southeast Asia (Vientiane) Assembly Center to establish more precise connections with the Southeast Asian market and expand their operational reach. Additionally, the assembly center offers enterprises diversified logistics options while mitigating logistics risks.
