The Information Office of the Shandong Provincial People's Government has recently held a press conference to accelerate the construction of "Skilled Shandong" and position the province as a new hub for skilled talent development. In recent years, Shandong has refined its talent training system, leading to continuous growth in the scale of its skilled workforce. Shandong plays a central role in leveraging technical schools as primary platforms for skill development, significantly enhancing the societal recognition of technical education.
On the one hand, Shandong has launched an initiative to cultivate 10,000 leading skilled talents, establishing key programs such as the Taishan Industrial Skill Leading Talent, Qilu Chief Technician, and Shandong Provincial Technical Skill Master. The province has also built 64 national-level skill master studios and 180 Qilu Skill Master specialized workstations. On the other hand, Shandong is introducing a modern apprenticeship system for enterprises, exploring innovative training models including school-enterprise dual structures, school-in-factory setups, and factory-in-school methods, to forge a new paradigm of "recruitment as enrollment, enterprise entry as school admission" for skill training.
