Recently, with the deep sound of the construction vessel's horn, the breakwater works of Yantai Port West Port Area Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project, a major national-level clean energy infrastructure project undertaken by CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Co., Ltd., officially commenced construction.
The project is located on the northwest side of the operation zone of Yantai Port West Port Area in the Huang-Bohai New Area, Yantai, Shandong Province, with an investment of nearly 1 billion yuan. The main construction content includes the construction of a new breakwater with a total length of 3,183.2 meters, along with supporting facilities such as temporary roads, shipping terminals, prefabrication sites, and navigation aids.
According to reports, the breakwater works of Yantai LNG Project is a major project in Shandong Province and is expected to be completed in June 2026. Upon completion, the project will provide reliable energy support and natural gas emergency response capabilities to eastern and northern China, helping Yantai establish a Clean Energy Center in Northern China. It will play an important role in promoting regional economic and social development, ensuring national energy security, and optimizing the energy structure.
