Shandong Introduces 12 Measures to Promote Patent Industrialization

Recently, Shandong issued the Several Measures on Further Promoting Patent Industrialization to Empower the Construction of a Modern Industrial System, which outlines 12 specific measures to accelerate implementation.

The Several Measures clearly define 12 specific measures, including strengthening the development of high-value patents, supporting the establishment of industrial intellectual property operation centers, fostering the construction of key industry patent pools, facilitating the registration and certification of patent-intensive products, enhancing patent navigation services for key industries, creating public patent implementation lists, promoting targeted patent commercialization and utilization, expediting patent authorization for key industries, improving patent industrialization service capabilities, increasing financial support for patent commercialization and utilization, enhancing patent protection in key industrial sectors, and advancing the development of intellectual property talent.

Notably, Shandong will support universities and research institutions in establishing high-value patent development centers. These centers will be dedicated to meeting the critical needs of building, extending, consolidating, and strengthening industrial chains to generate a collection of urgently needed, highly influential, industry-driving, and widely applicable high-value patents for accelerated commercialization and utilization in key industries.
