Qingdao Unveils Plan to Accelerate "Real Economy-Digital Economy Integration" Through Multi-faceted Efforts

The Qingdao Municipal People's Government recently issued the Implementation Plan for Promoting the Deep Integration of the Real Economy and Digital Economy to Foster New Quality Productive Forces (2025–2027), which is aimed at accelerating the development of a new economic model driven by digital technology and characterized by intelligence, efficiency, cross-sector integration, joint development, and sharing.

Qingdao will prioritize key areas in the new generation of information technology, enhance the development of national new open innovation platforms for artificial intelligence, and initiate more than eight major technology research projects to stimulate the growth of the digital economy sector.

It will continue expanding the scale of new generation information technology, artificial intelligence, and other industries, establish a low-altitude economy sector, and speed up the development of intelligent connected new energy vehicles and intelligent equipment. It will also develop the platform economy, expedite the cultivation of key provincial platform economy enterprises, and establish more than four clusters dedicated to the platform economy.

Additionally, Qingdao will work to build a domestically leading Industrial Internet platform system and accelerate the development of future industries such as terahertz technology, marine electronic information, deep-sea development, aerospace information, brain-inspired intelligence, quantum information, advanced semiconductor materials, and Satellite Internet.
