2024 "Top 100 Digital Parks" Released: 10 Selected from Shandong

Recently, CCID Consulting released the list of the "Top 100 Digital Parks" for 2024. There are 64 national hi-tech zones and 36 national economic development zones on the list.

Shandong has 10 parks that made the cut, including: Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Jinan Innovation Zone, Qingdao Economic & Technological Development Area, Weifang Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Zibo National New and Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Weihai Torch High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Yantai Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Yantai Economic & Technological Development Area, Tai'an Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, and Jining National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

The research indicates that the characteristics of park digitalization development in Shandong Province focus on the transformation of traditional industries and the marine digital economy, emphasizing the integration of traditional industry upgrades with the marine economy and highlighting green and low-carbon transformation. In specific practices, Shandong is implementing eight major initiatives for the "smart transformation and digital upgrade" of the manufacturing industry, supporting the construction of smart factories and the application of industrial internet platforms, with the goal of achieving a 55% share of the digital economy by 2027. It is also promoting the authorized operation of public data, building a marine big data center and a smart granary at sea, and creating a marine digital economy cluster area. Additionally, it has introduced the Shandong Provincial Development Zone Regulations to optimize land resource allocation and financial support, attracting market entities to gather in development zones.
