Shandong Releases the Key Points of Building a Province with Digital Strength in 2025

Recently, the Shandong Provincial Leading Group Office for Building a Province with Digital Strength issued the Key Points of Building a Province with Digital Strength in 2025, aiming to establish a province with digital strength and smart Shandong, accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces, and empower the province's green, low-carbon and high-quality development.

In terms of enhancing digital technology innovation capabilities, the Key Points proposes strengthening core digital technology breakthroughs. Shandong will emphasize cutting-edge fundamental theories, such as multimodal intelligence, generative intelligence, and embodied artificial intelligence, and launch over 150 basic research projects. Shandong will make concentrated efforts to overcome "bottleneck" technologies, including large-scale model development and advanced chip manufacturing, to boost the localization of artificial intelligence.

Shandong will build the Jinan-Qingdao Artificial Intelligence Innovation Development Pilot Area, the New-Generation AI Innovation Development Test Zone, and the Marine Large-Scale AI Model Industrial Cluster to a high standard. Shandong will implement the "computing power voucher" subsidy policy to guide existing data centers in deploying high-quality computing power that supports artificial intelligence.
