Recently, the Information Office of Yantai Municipal People's Government in Shandong Province held a briefing to outline the city's advances in becoming a stronghold for advanced manufacturing. Since last year, Yantai has focused on strengthening industrial clusters and boosting project capacities. The city's total industrial output value for enterprises above the designated scale has surpassed one trillion yuan.

By 2025, Yantai's industry and information technology system will make concerted efforts to advance manufacturing to become more high-end, intelligent, green, clustered, and chain-oriented, thereby aiding the city's development as a model of green, low-carbon, high-quality growth. Yantai will continue to refine its approach to enhancing industrial chain services, implement six major initiatives to strengthen the city through advanced manufacturing, optimize its six billion-yuan industries, actively cultivate and expand emerging fields like clean energy, biopharmaceuticals, and aerospace, strategically position future industries such as artificial intelligence, and expedite the formation of new quality productive forces, establishing a number of national and provincial clusters of advanced manufacturing industries.
