Shandong Explores Diverse Approaches to Harness Agricultural Data for Development Transformation

In recent years, Shandong has steadily released policy documents focused on developing digital villages. By merging top-level strategies with innovative grassroots initiatives, the province has advanced digital agriculture and rural development, created an ecosystem for agricultural data value transformation, and promoted the emergence of new quality productive forces in agriculture along with the restructuring of agricultural production relations.

Agricultural data can be transformed into intelligent decision-making models and can also encourage the enhancement of the agricultural industrial chain through standardized applications born from data aggregation. Currently, Shandong has pioneered a decision-making and application system integrating "AI models + Internet of Things + standardization" within the spheres of "agricultural data refinement" and "agricultural data standardization". From smart farmlands in Weifang to intelligent greenhouses in Shenxian County, and from Xintai's meat duck standards to the management of orchards in Feicheng, data is increasingly supplanting traditional knowledge, driving agriculture from "extensive" and "experience-based" practices to "standardized" and "intelligent" methodologies.
