Shandong Accelerates Computing Power Supply and Model Development to Boost AI Growth

The AI industry has seen rapid development recently. Seizing this opportunity, Shandong is proactively and strategically building computing power and data infrastructure, accelerating model development, and deepening data utilization to foster a synergistic ecosystem where AI and manufacturing empower each other.

To address challenges faced by AI enterprises like SENTER Electronic, Shandong has advanced the deployment of computing power infrastructure, establishing the Jinan AI Computing Center. The first phase provides a computing power of 100P, equivalent to the processing capacity of 50,000 high-performance computers.

The improved computing power infrastructure has resolved key obstacles in large-scale model training, enhancing industry-specific models for sectors like petroleum and power. Moving forward, Shandong will focus on key industries such as steel, automobiles, and electronics, aiming to develop over 100 specialized models. By 2025, Shandong plans to establish a preliminary AI industrial ecological chain led by Jinan and Qingdao, driving total related industry output to exceed 100 billion yuan.
