Jinan Aims to Attract Over 1,000 Projects This Year

Jinan plans to attract more than 1,000 new and high-quality projects through various investment promotion entities in 2025, including over 10 projects with a total investment of 5 billion yuan. The city will implement a list-based management system for key investment promotion projects, strengthen supervision and coordination for major projects, prioritize the scheduling of projects worth over 1 billion yuan, and give special attention to projects exceeding 5 billion yuan, aiming to resolve bottlenecks and challenges for the projects.

In addition, Jinan will deepen project cooperation with key countries and regions such as Singapore, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Europe, while actively exploring collaboration opportunities with Middle Eastern countries. The city plans to host more than 10 major investment promotion events throughout the year. Leveraging resources from its offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and other locations, Jinan will tap into industrial cooperation opportunities in the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Moreover, Jinan will encourage foreign-funded enterprises to increase their R&D investments and boost the utilization of foreign capital in key sectors such as high-tech industries. The city will guide major enterprises to direct overseas funds toward key local projects and encourage enterprises that have gone global to reinvest in Jinan. Furthermore, Jinan will implement five major service enhancement initiatives to better support foreign-funded enterprises (investment promotion projects).
