On March 20, the 2025 International Forum on Industry-Education-Research Integrated Development was held at the Golden Hall of Shandong Hotel. With the theme of "Integrated Development in a Pluralistic World", the event established an extensive platform for in-depth exchanges and interactions, thereby facilitating industry-education-research integration and innovation while encouraging enterprises, higher education institutions, and research institutes to collaborate for overseas development.

Sun Licheng, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Shandong Provincial People's Congress; Sata Arayakul, Thailand's consul general in Qingdao; and other Chinese and foreign guests attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Oscar Prat van Thiel, President of the World Skill Development Alliance (WSDA), delivered a video speech.

The event involved the unveiling ceremony of the "China (Shandong) - CEEC Development Center for Science, Education, and Industry Integration" and the "International Industry-Education-Research Integrated Development Cooperative", as well as a cooperation signing ceremony. The Report on the Development of China's Integrated Vocational Education Model in the New Era was released, proposing the "integrated vocational education model" in the context of the new era for the first time. Representatives from higher education institutions, research institutes, enterprises, and organizations in China, Russia, and other countries delivered keynote speeches on the innovative development of industry-education-research integration in their respective fields. Moreover, the event also encompassed matchmaking negotiations on industry-education-research integrated development in various sections, as well as the side activity of the "Dialogue between the Yellow River and the Nile—China-Africa Photographic Art Exhibition" of the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique.
