Recently, Shandong held a sci-tech innovation conference for provincial enterprises to summarize and exchange their experience and practices and outline key tasks for the next phase. This year, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shandong Province will implement a three-year action to cultivate and develop emerging strategic industries. By 2027, their revenue will account for 26%. At the same time, the Commission will carry out a special action to cultivate enterprises and projects in emerging strategic industries through the application of achievements in sci-tech research. They will be cultivated in a tiered and category-based manner. Special policy support will be given to those listed in the Commission's cultivation library to foster more "small yet smart" enterprises.
Sci-tech innovation must focus on key directions and tasks. Shandong will work on "empowerment" in seven aspects: strategic planning, R&D investment, high-level R&D platform, breakthroughs in core technology research, incubation of emerging strategic industries, digital and intelligent transformation, and recruitment and cultivation of sci-tech talent, so as to facilitate the efforts of provincial enterprises in sci-tech innovation.
