The 1st in Shandong! Satellite Manufacturing Project of Jigang Group Officially Approved

The National Development and Reform Commission recently approved a satellite manufacturing project of Jigang Group Co., Ltd. In the satellite assembly base approved this time, Shandong Province will launch its first flexible and intelligent satellite AIT production line. This will not only foster the growth of Jinan's aerospace industry, but also fill a gap in this sector for both Jinan and the entire Shandong.

Information shows that Jigang Group's satellite assembly base, covering an area of 75 mu, is located in China Computing Valley Sci-tech Industry Park, Jinan Innovation Zone. According to the plan, the base is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 100 satellites, each weighing 500 kg, within three years. The first phase of the base primarily focuses on building satellite production lines, while the second phase aims to support both upstream and downstream industries in the industrial chain. The first phase, covering an area of 42.3 mu and involving an investment of 450 million yuan, is expected to be completed by May 2025.
