New Developments in Shandong's Integration of Real Economy and Digital Economy: 45 "Industrial Brains" Under Construction, Covering 10 Industry Categories

A few days ago, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province issued the Notice on Organizing the Unveiling of "Industrial Brains" for Open Competition in Shandong Province 2025 to accelerate the deep integration of Shandong's real economy and digital economy. According to the Notice, this list of "industrial brains" for open competition covers 45 characteristic industries in 10 categories such as the machinery industry and light industry. Upholding the principle of "one brain for one industry", Shandong will launch pilot projects in key industries such as high-end equipment, advanced materials, biomedicine and artificial intelligence across the province.

An "industrial brain" is driven by the digital and intelligent transformation scene of industrial clusters, utilizing artificial intelligence and other new-generation information technologies to establish a smart decision-making hub that empowers industrial transformation and upgrading through big data and large models for industries. The Notice has clarified that the "industrial brains" for open competition will target key industries such as high-end equipment, advanced materials, biomedicine and artificial intelligence in Shandong.
