Recently, a provincial meeting on boosting consumption was held, further issuing a "mobilization order" to vigorously promote sustained consumption growth, expand consumption capacity, and improve consumption quality.
The meeting outlined a focus on implementing the "Five Major Projects" to boost consumption. These projects include the Goods Consumption Enhancement Project, the Service Consumption Quality Improvement Project, the New-type Consumption Leap Project, the Rural Consumption Potential Exploitation Project, and the International Consumption Expansion Project.
According to sources, this year's goods consumption will be boosted through a comprehensive approach that integrates policy guidance, market regulation, consumer demand, and product innovation. Shandong Province plans to continue hosting four consumption seasons—"Spring Welcoming", "Midsummer", "Golden Autumn", and "Warm Winter"—as well as various themed consumption festivals. Also, the province aims to launch over 1,000 key consumption promotion activities under the "100 Counties, 1,000 Enterprises, 10,000 Stores" initiative, to maintain a momentum of consumption growth. Today, emerging consumption sectors such as the debut economy, silver economy, and event economy are thriving and complementing traditional consumption methods.
