Shandong Unveils Ten Actions to Boost Consumption

The "2025 Lantern Festival · Shopping Carnival" recently commenced in Qingdao as part of the "2025 Shandong Spring Festival Consumption Season" series of events.

The event features six main exhibition zones, including the New Retail Exhibition Zone and the Zone for High-Quality Products from Foreign Trade. At the event, many companies, platforms and institutions, such as Haier Group, Liqun Group, JD.com, and China UnionPay, have launched several measures to boost consumption during the Lantern Festival, further diversifying consumption offerings.

Additionally, the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province unveiled the ten actions to boost consumption in Shandong in 2025. Shandong will make efforts to effectively implement these actions throughout the year, including promoting trade-in of consumer goods, expanding the capacity of service consumption, advancing the high-quality development of e-commerce, driving consumption through the initiative of "hundreds of counties, thousands of enterprises, and tens of thousands of stores," building a modern commercial distribution system, upgrading urban and rural consumption, enhancing innovation in the retail sector, integrating and upgrading domestic and foreign trade, promoting green and intelligent consumer goods, and strengthening the emergency supply capacity.
