The Department of Commerce of Shandong Province emphasized in its statement the need to align more closely with international high-standard economic and trade protocols to elevate the development of its open economy. The department plans to vigorously support enterprises in exploring new markets via innovative channels such as cross-border e-commerce, overseas warehousing, and trade in intermediary goods. Additionally, it aims to enhance companies' capacity to utilize Significant Economic Presence (SEP) and other free trade regulations. Various measures will be implemented to advance the pilot free trade zones' strategic upgrades, alongside organizing 13 significant economic and trade events under the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation framework. The creation of a "Select Shandong" brand is expected to attract numerous multinational corporations and distinguished enterprises, fostering deep-rooted ventures in Shandong for mutual benefits.
