Shandong Introduces Thirty Measures to Promote the Positive Development of Service Consumption

Recently, the General Office of the People's Government of Shandong Province issued the Several Measures on Further Promoting the High-quality Development of Service Consumption, introducing 30 measures in 10 categories to promote the positive development of service consumption throughout the province.

To meet the requirement of expanding and upgrading catering and accommodation consumption as specified in the Measures, the province plans to focus on Shandong cuisine to actively develop famous dishes, famous chefs, famous restaurants, and famous snacks. It aims to establish a number of national and international Shandong cuisine restaurant groups to enhance the national influence of Shandong cuisine.

Regarding consumption in housekeeping services, eldercare, and childcare, the province will support the standardized supply of housekeeping services, expand smart housekeeping services, and develop emerging models such as "housekeeping + internet" and "housekeeping + livestreaming".

To better meet the public's personalized, diversified, and high-quality demands, the document also proposes four types of measures adapted to new consumption trends: digital empowerment, green transformation, integrated development, and innovation-driven development.
