Recently, the ship MINERAL PORTUGAL docked at the Qingdao Qianwan Container Terminal, where officers of Huangdao Customs affiliated with Qingdao Customs completed sanitary inspection on site and made certificates online. Subsequently, the shipping agency printed the Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificate through the international trade "single window". This is the first digital ship sanitation certificate issued by Qingdao Customs.
In the past, ship sanitation certificates were paper-based documents, which needed to be handled offline. After the ship submitted an application and underwent customs inspection, the shipping company could obtain the certificate. Now, with the digital ship sanitation certificate, the process can be completed within 5 minutes through self-service printing, and its authenticity can be verified by scanning a QR code. The certificate reflects the ship's ability to maintain overall health and prevent the spread of various public health risks across borders, avoiding the need for a complex and repetitive process of comprehensive sanitation assessment at each port.
