Qingdao: Harnessing New Momentum and Restructuring the Urban Industrial Landscape

Recently, the Information Office of Qingdao Municipal People's Government held a press conference to introduce Qingdao's efforts in building an innovative industrial system, showcasing Qingdao's "roadmap" for upgrading the industrial system in the face of new challenges in the new era. Specifically, Qingdao will focus on the "10+1" key industrial directions of giving priority to the development of two leading industries, making breakthroughs in developing five emerging industries, improving the quality of three competitive industries and advancing the development of a batch of future industries. This strategy encompasses the layout of 40 sub-sectors.

At the beginning of the new year, Qingdao's new display industry welcomed another major project. The Qingdao Super Large-Size Panel Open-Cell Project with a total investment of 3 billion yuan was signed and implemented in Qingdao West Coast New Area. It is expected to drive the output value of related industrial chains to exceed 30 billion yuan after completion.

As a pioneering technology, digital technology has deeply integrated with the industrial system, continuously opening up new areas that enable economic growth. Qingdao attaches great importance to the two leading industries with prominent strategic leadership, namely, new generation of information technology and artificial intelligence.
