Shandong’s Hydrogen Energy Ranks First in China, with an Output Value of Over 100 Billion Yuan by 2025

Recently, the hydrogen energy integration project of Qilu Hydrogen Energy (Shandong) Development Co., Ltd. is under trial production and will be put into operation at the beginning of this year. After the project reaches design capacity, the Company will become the largest liquid hydrogen supplier in China.

As a major province with early layout of the hydrogen energy industry, Shandong features a hydrogen energy industry that is divided into three parts: Zibo, Qingdao and Jinan. The Medium and Long-term Development Plan of the Hydrogen Energy Industry in Shandong Province (2020-2030) issued in June 2020 proposes to strive to build the two brands of “China’s Hydrogen Valley” and “Oriental Hydrogen Island” through about 10 years of efforts, and cultivate and strengthen the “Shandong hydrogen economic belt” with Jinan, Qingdao and other regions as the focus. By 2025, the total output value of the hydrogen energy industry will exceed 100 billion yuan, and a total of 100 hydrogen refueling stations will be built.
