The Ice and Snow Economy Continues to Heat Up in Jinan, Shandong

In recent years, ice and snow sports and related industries have become new drivers of economic growth. Jinan, renowned for its spring water, is also keeping pace with the development trend of ice and snow sports by innovatively hosting ice and snow competitions and activities to expand the ice and snow consumption market.

Currently, there are 11 ice and snow venues in Jinan, mainly located in Licheng District, the southern mountainous area, Zhangqiu District, Laiwu District, and Pingyin County. The major ski resorts not only offer premium ski services but also provide well-rounded dining, entertainment, and leisure facilities, as well as training and wellness services.

In 2025, Jinan will continue to promote the development of the ice and snow industry, exploring ice and snow sports resources with a focus on business formats such as "ice and snow sports + tourist resorts," "ice and snow sports + study and education," and "ice and snow sports + cultural tourism and performance." The aim is to create differentiated ice and snow products, comprehensively improve Jinan's ice and snow sports facilities, enrich the lives of its citizens, and add new momentum to the city's diversified development.
