Building a Full-factor and Full-chain Industrial Ecosystem: The Emergence of Jinan's Quantum Industry

Shunhua Road in Jinan Innovation Zone serves as the hub for the city's quantum industry. Since 2010, Jinan has embarked on a journey to develop its quantum industry from the ground up, dedicating over a decade to this endeavor. As a result, the city has made strategic efforts across the three dimensions of technological research, industrial development, and standard formulation, covering the full spectrum of quantum communication, quantum computing, and quantum precision measurement.

Currently, Jinan has developed a complete industrial chain in quantum information that spans materials, devices, modules, system integration, applications, and standard formulation across the three major fields of quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum precision measurement. Key enterprises have emerged in these areas, including Shandong Guodun Network Information Technology Co., Ltd. in quantum communication, Shandong Guoyao Quantum Radar Technology Co., Ltd. in quantum precision measurement, and Jiuzhang (Jinan) Quantum Technology Co., Ltd. in quantum computing.

At present, Jinan's quantum industry has achieved a virtuous cycle of ecological industrialization and industrial ecology. It is anticipated that by 2025, the industry in the city will realize an enhancement in both technology and industry.
