Building a "9+3+N" Industrial System and Promoting Chain Development in Weifang, Shandong

In 2024, Weifang City in Shandong Province actively developed a "9+3+N" industrial system to deepen the development of key industries, deploy future industries, promote chain development, cultivate an industrial ecosystem, and strengthen the modern industrial system.

Weifang City has identified nine industrial chains as key areas for development, covering power equipment, high-end chemical industry, new generation of information technology (including metaverse), food processing, automobile manufacturing, high-end aluminum materials, textile and clothing, intelligent agricultural machinery, and modern medicine. These sectors possess a strong industrial foundation, relatively complete industrial chains, and considerable scale. Moreover, priority has been given to cultivating three industrial chains with a certain foundation, competitive advantages, broad market prospects, and strong intrinsic growth potential, including industrial machine tools, magnetic technology, and new energy storage. Additionally, it has planned for the advancement of numerous emerging industries and future industries, forming a "9+3+N" industrial system.
