Dongying Development Zone Is Accelerating the Development of a Hub for the Digital Economy

Recently, the signing ceremony of the Shandong World Digital Valley project took place in the Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone (Dongying Development Zone). This project, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, is a key initiative of the Dongying Development Zone to establish a headquarters for the digital economy. It will play a significant role in strengthening the digital economy chain, enriching the digital economy forms and promoting the cross-border integrated development of the digital economy.

In recent years, the Dongying Development Zone has proactively planned and coordinated development across the area, focusing on nurturing key sectors of the digital economy and consistently advancing the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy. Currently, the Dongying Development Zone boasts multiple hubs for digital economy development, including the Dongying Software Zone and the Optics Valley Future City. It has established three pilot provincial-level digital economy zones, and signed and implemented a group of projects of leading digital economy enterprises like HEXAGON and PIESAT. The Yuelai Lake Digital Economy Industrial Zone is home to over 700 digital economy businesses, with over 6,000 registered digital professionals.
