Shandong's 5 High-Tech Zones Ranked among the Top 50 in National High-Tech Zone Comprehensive Evaluation

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT) recently completed the comprehensive evaluation of 178 national high-tech zones in 2024. Of them, five high-tech zones in Shandong Province, namely Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Jinan Innovation Zone, Weifang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Zibo High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park, were on the list of the top 50 of the comprehensive evaluation.

In October this year, MIIT revised and issued the Comprehensive Evaluation Indicator System for National High-tech Industrial Development Zones. The new version of the Indicator System guides the national high-tech zones to develop high technology, realize industrialization, accelerate the formation of new quality productive forces, and solidly push forward the high-quality development from the aspects of advancing the in-depth integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, promoting new industrialization and highlighting intelligent and green development.
