2,126 New Innovative SMEs in Shandong

To stimulate the emergence of more specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), 2,126 enterprises including Jinan Hengruijin Testing Machine Co., Ltd. were selected as the second batch of innovative SMEs in Shandong Province in 2024. The selection was made through a series of procedures, including self-assessment and declaration of enterprises, review and evaluation of cities, and summary and re-evaluation of the province. The designation is effective until December 31, 2027.

Innovative SMEs are enterprises characterized by high specialization, strong innovation capability, and great development potential. They constitute an essential part of the gradient cultivation of high-quality SMEs and act as a foundational force for them.

Currently, cities in Shandong are increasing their support for various high-quality SMEs and implementing gradient cultivation and empowerment services to drive innovative SMEs to enhance their core competitiveness. As a result, these SMEs can steadily progress into specialized and sophisticated SMEs and "little giant" enterprises.
