Shandong Boasts Over 400,000 Enterprises in Core Industries of the Digital Economy, Ranking Third in China

According to the statistics of the China Organization Data Service, as of November 30, 2024, the total number of enterprises in core industries of the digital economy in China reached 4,574,100. Shandong Province boasts 400,300 enterprises in core industries of the digital economy, ranking third in China, accounting for 8.75% of the national total, and showing an increase of 14.69% from the end of 2023.

The year 2024 has been designated as the "year of innovation and breakthrough" for Shandong's digital economy. To establish a leading new hub for the development of the digital economy in China, Shandong has vigorously implemented the ten major projects for digital industrialization and eight major actions for industrial digitization to strengthen the new advantages of the digital economy's high-quality development and unleash the synergy between the real economy and the digital economy at a faster pace. Recently, CCID Consulting released the list of 2024 Top 100 Cities in Digital Economy. Shandong Province's 11 cities are on the list, including Qingdao, Jinan, Yantai, Weifang, Linyi, Jining, Zibo, Dezhou, Weihai, Tai'an, and Binzhou.
