Three More Clusters Recognized as National Clusters of Advanced Manufacturing Industries in Shandong Province

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of the People's Republic of China recently released the 2024 List of National Clusters of Advanced Manufacturing Industries, which includes a total of 35 clusters. Notably, the ship and marine engineering equipment cluster in Qingdao, Yantai, and Weifang, the intelligent agricultural machinery equipment cluster in Weifang and Linyi, and the instrument cluster in Qingdao have been selected.

It is learned that MIIT organized the 2024 National Advanced Manufacturing Clusters Competition to nurture and develop the relevant clusters. After reviews of the group and comprehensive evaluations and the publicity procedure, 35 clusters were ultimately listed.

According to the Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Clusters of Advanced Manufacturing Industries, by 2025, Shandong will basically form a cluster development pattern featuring reasonable regional distribution, clear leading industries, a sound innovation system, agglomeration of resource elements, in-depth integration of chain groups, and characteristic and differentiated development. At present, six clusters in Shandong have entered the national list of clusters of advanced manufacturing industries.
