On December 10, the Industry-University-Research Collaboration Innovation Alliance for Marine Economy (Qingdao) was established. The alliance comprises 180 entities from the research, industrial, and capital sectors, and will continuously promote the in-depth integration of innovation chains, industrial chains, funding chains, and talent chains, helping to enhance the local marine science and technology innovation capacity and turning it into a hub for the development of modern marine economy.
It is learned that the alliance focuses on eight key marine industry sectors: marine equipment, marine pharmaceuticals and bioproducts, seawater desalination and comprehensive utilization, marine renewable energy, marine electronic information, deep-sea development, modern fisheries, and marine chemicals. Current member units include various innovative entities like industry-leading enterprises and marine-related universities and research institutes, as well as service agencies in technology, finance, and law, covering all aspects of the marine industry with extensive representation.
The alliance will fulfill the role of a bridge and bond, aggregating innovative resources in the marine industry, promoting collaborative efforts within the industry, enabling the marine sector to "gather chains into clusters", and strengthening the development model of "technology + capital + industry".
