Shandong Has over 2,000 Ice and Snow Enterprises, Ranking Second in China

Recently, the General Office of the State Council of China issued Several Opinions on Stimulating the Vitality of Ice and Snow Economy with High-quality Development of Ice and Snow Sports. Driven by both policy guidance and market demand, the ice and snow economy is gradually breaking geographical and seasonal restrictions, integrating various fields such as tourism, sports, and culture to form a diversified and complex industrial ecosystem.

As the winter progresses, the consumption market featuring winter cultural tourism activities is booming again. Local governments in Shandong Province have seized the huge business opportunities brought by the ice and snow economy and introduced policies and measures to support the development of the whole industrial chain, including ice and snow tourism, equipment, and culture.

According to the latest data, the number of ice and snow enterprises in Shandong has exceeded 2,000, ranking second in China. Currently, Shandong's ice and snow equipment manufacturing enterprises have initially formed several clusters, including ice and snow sports equipment in Weihai, ice and snow sports apparel in Jining, and synthetic ice and skiing simulators in Dezhou. In some specialized fields, a group of leading enterprises such as Kai Tai Sports Products Manufacturing (Weihai) Co., Ltd. in Weihai and Shandong Jianhua Zhongxing Gloves Co., Ltd. in Jining have emerged. Taishan Sports Industry Group Co., Ltd. has participated in the formulation of national and industry standards for ice and snow products and has independently developed supporting products for ice and snow equipment, including carbon fiber snow bikes and carbon fiber skateboard decks.
