Linyi Achieves Progress in Building a Green and Low-carbon City, with the Installed New Energy Capacity Exceeding 9 Million kW

In recent years, Linyi City has endeavored to build a new energy system, accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces, stimulate green drivers for high-quality development, and take green and low-carbon energy development to a new level.

Linyi has continued to promote the development and construction of clean energy. As of October 2024, the installed capacity of new energy and renewable energy in the city had exceeded 9 million kilowatts, ranking third in the province and doubling during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Meanwhile, Linyi has accelerated energy storage layout in an all-around way. Positive efforts have been made in the city to implement the energy storage improvement initiative, promote the construction of energy storage facilities, strive to make the energy storage capacity double to more than 3 million kilowatts by 2030, and improve the consumption capacity of the power grid.

Moreover, Linyi City has worked to make good use of its resource endowment to build a "new PV city in China". To this end, the city has given full play to its advantages in quartz sand and logistics, adhered to the integrated development of PV energy storage and application, and attracted 27 PV energy storage manufacturers such as Yaoling Times and WeView. This has helped the city establish a smooth PV and energy storage industrial chain and accelerate the construction of three PV energy storage industrial parks in Hedong, Lanling, and Lanshan.
