Recently, the inaugural event of the National Sowing Campaign for Specialized, Refined, Differentiated, and Innovative (SRDI) Enterprises took place in Jinan, hosted by the China Centre for Promotion of SME Development, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Bureau of Development Planning of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province. According to reports, the initiative will leverage the platform advantages of the China SME Service Network and a four-tier public service system to facilitate the implementation of several "golden seed" projects, thereby expediting the development of high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Shandong into SRDI "little giants."
Shandong is home to over 14 million micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. In recent years, it has led the nation in establishing a mechanism to foster SRDI enterprises, pioneering the Shandong model of integrating and strengthening the industrial chain. Several SRDI enterprises have emerged as crucial players in building and extending the industry chains and as essential experts in promoting circular integration within the supply chain. Currently, Shandong hosts 24,000 innovative SMEs, 18,000 SRDI SMEs, and over 1,000 SRDI "little giants". Guiding more SMEs to take the path of SRDI development by focusing on niche fields is inseparable from improving the total-factor resource guarantee system and creating a service support system for full-cycle cultivation.
