Shandong's 16 Enterprises Shortlisted for China's Top 500 Hidden Unicorn Companies in 2024, Ranking Second in North China

According to the 2024 China Hidden Unicorn Companies Development Report released recently, Shandong has 16 enterprises on the list, ranking second in North China.

From the perspective of Shandong Province, Qingdao was the first to see the emergence of unicorn companies in 2018. Since then, there has been a surge of unicorn companies. Currently, Qingdao has 54 hidden unicorn companies and 17 unicorn companies in total, becoming the second city in North China after Beijing.

In October this year, Shandong issued the Action Plan for Accelerating Scenario Innovation to Lead the High-quality Development of "Top Ten Industries" (2025-2027), committed to opening and launching more scenarios, accelerating the application and promotion of more new technologies, new products, and new models, as well as ensuring continuous iteration and upgrading. Various scenarios for government first-use, major engineering, cluster enterprises, and scientific and technological innovation incubation are emerging, providing new tracks and injecting new development momentum for the growth of unicorns.
