To further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between leading agricultural enterprises in Shandong and Chongqing and promote high-quality agricultural collaboration, the Shandong-Chongqing Agricultural Entrepreneurs Exchange and Matchmaking Event was recently held in Shandong.

A delegation composed of relevant officials from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and representatives of 13 enterprises from counties, cities, and districts visited 11 agricultural industry demonstration zones in Jining City, Weifang City, and Weihai City of Shandong Province successively and held exchange symposiums to discuss the win-win development of agriculture in the two regions.

As of now, Shandong has introduced 38 categories and 159 varieties of famous, special, excellent, and new breeds to 14 cooperative districts and counties in Chongqing, built 84 agricultural zones of various types, and introduced 89 advanced and applicable planting and breeding technologies. Since 2021, a total of 775 agricultural professionals have been organized to help in Chongqing, 526 agricultural technicians from Chongqing have been sent to Shandong for exchanges and learning, and more than 7,600 local agricultural technicians have been trained. Assistance has been offered to 14 partner districts and counties in organizing more than 60 characteristic agricultural product exhibitions, helping Chongqing achieve sales of 4.76 billion yuan in characteristic agricultural products.

The Shandong-Chongqing Agricultural Entrepreneurs Exchange and Matchmaking Event is a significant initiative by Shandong and Chongqing to deepen cooperation between eastern and western regions, strengthen the agricultural collaboration between Shandong and Chongqing, and promote the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas. Through the establishment of a targeted matchmaking platform for agricultural collaboration, Chongqing's enterprises can fully learn about Shandong's advanced experiences in agricultural modernization, digitization, and industrialization. This platform also enables the two regions to explore new models for agricultural technology advancement and agricultural product sales, aiming to achieve resource sharing and complementary strengths. In this way, they can jointly explore new paths for agricultural development and embark on a new chapter of Shandong-Chongqing agricultural cooperation.
