China Classification Society Certification Co., Ltd. has officially awarded the Certificate of Carbon Neutrality to Weifang Port of Bohaiwan Port Group, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group (SPG). This feat marks that Weifang Port has become China's first zero-carbon port and achieved the organic integration of smart technology and green and low-carbon development.
In recent years, Weifang has accelerated the development of the blue carbon economy. From port construction to ecological restoration, it has comprehensively and continuously promoted the green and low-carbon development of the marine economy. At present, a multi-energy supply system has been basically established at Weifang Port, forming an integrated zero-carbon energy structure powered by wind, solar, and energy storage technologies.
Weifang Port has also promoted the simultaneous advancement of multiple smart construction projects, facilitating the deep integration of smart technology and green development in the port. On the comprehensive energy and carbon smart management platform, a large screen displays key data in real-time, including the port's electricity, fuel, water, and hydrogen usage, the proportion of clean energy load, and carbon emission trends. Now, the platform has realized intelligent and efficient management of energy usage and carbon emissions in the port.
