Shandong Lixia Economic Development Zone Approved

Recently, the People's Government of Shandong Province approved the "Request for Establishing a Provincial-level Economic Development Zone" from the People's Government of Jinan City, agreeing with the city about the establishment of a provincial-level economic development zone in its Lixia District. Moreover, the zone, whose name has been determined to be Shandong Lixia Economic Development Zone, will implement the province's current economic development zone policies.

According to relevant requirements, the zone should actively serve and integrate into the new development pattern and prioritize ecology and green development. Meanwhile, it should continuously shape new development momentum and advantages, enhance regional innovation capabilities, and accelerate the development of new quality productive forces. By doing so, it strives to become a role model and leader for the high-quality development of the real economy.

On Jinan's part, in strict accordance with relevant national and provincial regulations, the city should shoulder the primary responsibility for the construction and development of the zone, formulate high-quality industrial development plans and implementation measures for it, strengthen policy and factor guarantees, and develop it into a new engine of economic growth and a new window of opening up.
