Recently, the first-stop event of the Sowing Action for Enterprises that Use Special and Sophisticated Technologies to Produce Novel and Unique Products was held in Jinan. At present, there are more than 4.4 million small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Shandong Province, including 24,000 innovative SMEs and 18,000 enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products within the cultivation period. The number of national "little giant" enterprises and single-product champion manufacturing enterprises rank among the top in China.

Shandong has given priority to promoting the high-quality development of SMEs. To achieve that, it has comprehensively revised the regulations on promoting SMEs, created a "1+N" policy system, carried out the action of "tapping potential and strengthening foundation" for high-quality SMEs, and promoted the formation of a gradient cultivation system for enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products, gazelle enterprises, unicorn firms, and single-product champion manufacturing enterprises.

The practice has proved that the prosperity of SMEs, especially enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products, not only provides continuous momentum for Shandong's industrial economy to sustain high growth but also significantly contributes to the province's high-quality economic and social development.
