Recently, the first China-South Korea (Shandong) Skilled Talent Exchange and Cooperation Conference kicked off in Weihai City. The attendees included 5 universities from South Korea, 13 technical schools and 15 human resources institutions in Shandong, human resources and social security departments of 7 cities, such as Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Weifang, Zibo and Jining, and 8 key enterprises and South Korea-funded enterprises in Weihai.
The event incorporated a number of parallel sessions, such as the Skills and Achievements Exhibition of Chinese and Korean Institutions, the Exchange and Promotion of Talent Cultivation Modes of Chinese and Korean Institutions, the Exchange of Skilled Talent between China and South Korea, and the Investigation in Key Skill-Intensive Enterprises in Weihai City.
In recent years, Weihai City has improved the mechanism and system for skilled talents, with its actions of revitalizing Weihai through skills development as the main starting point. It strives to build a strong team of high-skilled leading talents, vigorously develop technical education, provide extensive vocational skills training, and create a competitive brand of revitalizing Weihai through skills development.
