Shandong Province Introduces 16 Measures to Promote High-quality Development of the Project Management Industry

Recently, the three departments of Shandong Province jointly issued Several Measures to Promote High-quality Development of the Construction Project Management Industry. A total of 16 specific measures were proposed from the perspectives of enhancing service capability, innovating development modes, expanding development fields and consolidating development support. These measures aim to further give full play to the role of project management in ensuring construction quality and work safety, thereby invigorating the development momentum of the project management industry.

It is reported that there are 1,088 project management enterprises in Shandong Province. Among them, 30 enterprises possess comprehensive qualifications, accounting for 8.6% of China's total, making Shandong rank fourth in terms of number. The industry employs approximately 107,000 professionals.

Additionally, the measures include supporting large project management enterprises to develop into group companies, cultivating a number of leading enterprises and backbone enterprises, and advancing the development of the entire industrial chain of new building industrialization. Shandong supports project management enterprises to transform into full life cycle management services, incorporating project planning, feasibility study, project initiation, planning, survey, design, construction, acceptance and operation, enabling them to establish and improve an engineering consulting service model throughout the entire process.
